Leisa Anderton is joint departmental lead for simulation – digital and enhanced technology at Sheffield Hallam University. She has more than 25 years of clinical experience as an adult nurse, spanning emergency care to specialised end of life care. Working in the Department of Nursing and Midwifery, her dual expertise extends to over 15 years in education. A fervent advocate for technology’s role in healthcare and education, she leads on digital and simulation initiatives and steers postgraduate modules on the MSc in healthcare analytics and AI. She contributes to research on digital health and XR technology, and holds significant positions in global VR/AR association, championing education and health advancements.
