Helen Walker has worked in paediatric cardiology at Alder Hey Children’s NHS Foundation Trust for nearly 25 years and been a cardiac nurse specialist for 16 years, taking up the lead role six years ago. She works with the wider multidisciplinary team to enable care for children to be as seamless as possible, from antenatal diagnosis to transitional care. More recently she co-founded Little Hearts at Home, which offers seamless care from the hospital setting to the home environment.
