A former nurse, Clare Lomas joined Nursing Standard in 2011 as the opinion editor. After qualifying in 1998 she specialised in cardiac nursing and thrombosis research, and also has a degree in sociology and social psychology. She is now responsible for the careers content of all RCNi journals and also heads up the student product, NS Student.
