Andy Winter Assistant Professor in Health Simulation at Coventry University, with a focus on advancing innovative teaching practices and enhancing clinical education. With extensive experience in designing and delivering simulation-based learning, Andy has been instrumental in supporting healthcare professionals and students to develop critical skills in communication, decision-making, and interprofessional collaboration.

Currently pursuing a PhD, Andy is exploring the gaps in communication training for nursing students, particularly in preparing them for challenging conversations in clinical settings. Their research aims to bridge these gaps through impactful, evidence-based interventions.

A recognised advocate for the integration of technology in education, Andy has contributed to projects involving Generative AI, virtual reality, and playful design approaches to healthcare learning. They have presented nationally and internationally on leveraging simulation and technology to foster accessible, practical, and effective learning experiences.

Andy brings a collaborative mindset, a passion for shaping best practice, and a wealth of expertise to the RCNi Nursing Live Events Advisory Panel. Their commitment to improving healthcare education through innovation and co-creation aligns closely with the event’s goals of showcasing regional excellence and inspiring meaningful change in nursing practice.
